I went to Walgreens today because firstly I found another one of those $2.00 off Biore coupons in one of the boxes of my pore strips (there were coupons in both boxes that I had in my cabinet! Be sure and check inside your Biore Pore Strip boxes for coupons!).
Oh yes, and I show you in the photo the sample of Biore Pore Clearing Ice Cleanser and $1.00 coupon that came in the box of pore strips I bought today. Look for boxes that say "Free Sample" on the front!
I wanted to take advantage of the monthly RR deal one more time where you get $5.00 RR wyb two Biore or Garnier skin care products. I had one last B1 Pore Strip G1 Cleanser Free coupon to use also, along with $4.00 RR.
I also needed feminine supplies for the daughter, so I went in to see what deals I could work.
We'll get to the breakdown of my trip in a bit, but first, I wasn't aware that Walgreen's is giving a Spring Beauty Guide filled with high value coupons, as well as a "gift" with any beauty purchase! That gift was a colgate keychain with a mirror on one side and a baggie FULL of MORE high value beauty coupons, including a mail in rebate to try a product for free! I was super excited! Hurry on over to your Walgreens and make a beauty purchase! Pay at the beauty counter and be sure and get your free booklet and gifts!
Now here's my trip breakdown. Not counting the $3.00 RR that I went home with, I saved 80%!
I broke this trip into three transactions. I had $4 in RR to start with so I went with my biggest ticket item first. The Biore.
Transaction #1:
1 Biore Pore Strip $7.99
1 Biore Pore Clearing Scrub (my fave!) $8.49
1 Cadbury Creme Egg .39
Total before coupons: $16.87
Used B1 Pore Strip G1 Cleanser Free Q -$8.49
Used $2/1 Biore coupon from inside pore strip box -$2.00
Used $4.00 RR from previous trip.
Total after coupons: $3.73. Received $5.00 RR, making this transaction a $1.27 Money Maker!
Transaction #2:
Always Ultra Thin Pads 48 ct 6.99
Hershey Cookies n Cream Bunny .39
Total before coupons: $7.38
Used $5.00 RR from prev transaction
Used $1.00/1 Always Pad from 4/3 P&G Brandsaver
Total After Coupons: $1.38. Received $2.00 RR for the Always Pads, making this transaction a .62 money maker!
Transaction #3:
Colgate Max White Toothpaste (OK enough with the free toothpaste already! lol!) - $2.99
2 Cadbury Eggs @ .39 ea = .78
1 Hershey Bunny @ .39 (didn't need three candies but for the Easter Baskets, it's a good deal!)
Total before coupons: $4.16
Used 2.00 RR from previous transaction
Used .75/1 Colgate coupon from 4/3 SmartSource insert
Total after coupons: $1.41 Received $3.00 RR for the Colgate, making this transaction a $1.59 money maker!
Total OOP: $5.76, plus left with $3.00 in RR.
Total before coupons: $28.82...saved 80%!
Then I got all of those beautiful coupons that you see, over $30.00 in total savings and what's more most of them are Walgreens coupons which means they can be combined with Manu coupons for bigger savings!
So, if I counted the RR that I came out with, I actually made money today, but I will use those in my next trip and prefer to count them as a coupon at that time.
